Sambarta, a sitar player based in Maryland, received his training in Indian classical music in Calcutta, India from Pandit Himadri Bagchi and Pandit Debaprasad Chakraborty. Recent recitals have included programs at the Philadelphia Clef Club, the Reagan Center, Washington DC, Bloombars, the Indian Embassy, the Cleveland Public Library, Ohio, and the Westminster Presbyterian Church, DC. Primarily a soloist, Sambarta has also collaborated with vocalists and jazz musicians.

Voix de Femmes is based in Laurel, MD and has performed in venues in Maryland and in Washington DC. The group distinguishes itself by the uniqueness of its repertoire and has commissioned new pieces for women’s voices. It is the inspiration of its conductor, Annick Kanter-Saint Hubert. Christopher DeLaurenti makes sound works for installations, albums, live performances, and radio broadcasts. Ranging from live improvised electronics to phonography to electroacoustic music and notated scores, he has performed live on countless stages from dingy bars and dives to tony venues including the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Biennial. Christopher holds an MFA from Bard College and completed his PhD at Goldsmiths, University of London. He has scored several games, short films, and branded content.
