Greetings! I am honored to serve as the Executive Director of the Performing Arts Center for African Cultures, a vibrant hub celebrating the rich tapestry of African traditions and expressions. With a background deeply rooted in nonprofit management, leadership, and Africana studies, I am committed to fostering an inclusive space where the diverse voices and talents of African cultures shine brightly.
Amuchechukwu
Amuchechukwu is an active local writer, educator and teaching artist in the Washington, D.C metropolitan area. She is a first-generation born Black American whose poetry touches on the diaspora, sexual advocacy, mental health, and the female experience. Her poem “Notes From a Black Figure Model” was recently published in Day Eight’s Mid Atlantic Review (2023). Her writing seeks to inspire people from all different walks of life.   
estrellita beatriz
estrellita beatriz, who uses the pronouns starr, e, bea, or anything non-gendered offered gingerly, is a poly-disciplinary artistic facilitator, doula, educator, and change shaper. e started stage managing storefront theatres in Albuquerque, New Mexico, as a junior in high school. bea’s work as an artistic facilitator mixed with starr’s ancestral healing practice lead e to become a death doula and ritual writer. Working at the praxis of grief, ritual, and theatre, starr hopes to help guide folks back to their bodies through boundaries, intentional conversations, and plant medicine.
Lindsay Bottos
Lindsay Bottos (b.1992) is a Baltimore- based multidisciplinary artist working mostly in photography, video, and poetry. Known for her dreamy, nostalgic aesthetic and work about new media and the internet, Lindsay works as a fine artist, freelance photographer, prop stylist, and creative director on photo and video sets. Their work often explores themes related to identity, body image, and the representation of women in media and popular culture.
Joshica
Joshica is a high-energy Rock & Soul band duo that captivates audiences with their heartfelt music and soul-stirring performances. Comprised of Joshica on vocals and Dominique on the guitar, this dynamic pair brings a unique blend of rock & roll, soul, and Americana influences to their sound.
Mark
Don+ is a DMV educator, writer, poet, and recording artist. He holds a Bachelors in English with a focus on rhetoric and composition from Claflin University and a Masters in Secondary English from New York University. His first EP, “R.A.W: Rhythm and Words,” was released in 2021 and charted at #32 on the iTunes R&B charts. Don+ is a 12-year veteran educator now working as a school administrator and Literacy Coach. He is preparing to release his first book of poetry and his second EP in 2024 and currently serves as a co-producer and MC of Electric Euphoria open mic series.
