LISA MATHEWS has been a Teaching Artist with Wolf Trap’s Institute of Early Learning Through the Arts since 2013, providing classroom residencies in music and creative drama in Maryland, DC and Virginia schools. She also worked with Young Audiences/Arts for Learning between 2008 - 2024, earning their Artist of the Year Award in 2010.

Versatile violinist Madeleine Jansen, hailing from Mount Airy, Maryland, has been praised by the San Francisco Classical Voice for her interpretation of composers from Dvorak to Brubeck. Her multi-faceted career as a performer and educator has brought her around the United States and abroad, where she has appeared in a diverse array of venues ranging from prisons to the world’s most prestigious concert halls.
Renée Collins Georges was one of the last Raelettes to “hit the road” with Ray Charles and His Orchestra in a singing career that has taken her all over the world. Renée is a vocalist and children’s songwriter with a passion for kids and Jazz.

Mel B. Kaufman (1879-1932), the "King of the One Step", was one of the most popular and prolific composers of syncopated dance music during the 1910s and early 1920s. His work was featured by such bandleaders as Vincent Lopez, Earl Fuller, Eugene Jaudas, Charles Prince, and Joseph C. Smith, and his lively, catchy melodies found their way into the soundtracks of hundreds of films and animated cartoons well into the 1950s. This first-ever CD dedicated to Kaufman's music features twenty-five numbers, including several selections recorded for the first time. All of the pieces are performed off the original orchestrations using period instruments and authentic performance techniques. Andrew Greene, PRSO's director and the world's leading authority on Mel B. Kaufman, contributes an in-depth essay on Kaufman's life and work in the accompanying 40 page booklet, which also includes dozens of rare photographs and original sheet music cover art, a comprehensive Kaufman discography, filmography, and more.
