Jaz Erenberg
AfroLatina artist, Jaz Erenberg painted her first mural in 2017 and immediately knew that if she could find a way to engage the community around her, the mural could be that much more impactful! Over the last 6 years, her practice has grown through collaboration with communities to build creative ways to make them feel seen and heard throughout the process. Using workshops and events, communities have become an integral part of how she creates public artwork.

Ecomimesis

See more information about Ecomimesis
Ecomimesis is a site-specific, virtual reality (VR) environment containing animated virtual plants that allows viewers to have an intimate encounter with plants in an accelerated life-cycle. The project is designed to be customized for the venue in which it is shown so the architecture of the space is represented within the animation. The species featured is Conyza canadensis, a common urban ‘weed’ chosen for its prevalence in human crafted landscapes that is at same time often 'invisible' to most people as they choose to ignore such so-called nuisance species.
