I create abstract sculpture using steel remnants, wire, cable and found objects. These elements are intricately welded resulting in forms that are rich in texture. The varying weights of steel create volume and density and as I weld the different sections, surface areas are formed layer by layer. It is important to me to have a sense of movement and fluidity in my work, so that your eye is taken around and through the piece. My work has a strong connection to the natural elements of wind, sea, and land.
I am a sculptor, painter, and photographer living and working in the Washington DC region.
