I am married. Adult children and grandchildren. Disabled by a vehicle accident. I have had seven back surgeries. Unable to work in banking, I have been reinventing myself since 1990. I am officially retired and crafting jewelry as a business. In 2022, I sponsored the crafting of jewelry for the women’s shelter I coordinated. The jewelry was sold in their thrift ministry. Despite the modest pricing, the jewelry didn’t sell well in that venue. All of the expense had been mine. All of the leftover stuff was mine. Disappointed but undaunted, I continued to create and sell jewelry.
I’m a self-taught fiber artist based in Bethesda, Maryland. My artistic journey has been almost entirely in the realm of fiber arts, including quilting, embroidery, and mostly wool sculpting. Many of my works are figurative sculptures; which explore the nexus between humans and the natural world, and the vagaries of human life on earth.
