Joy Nutt was born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Maryland and Colorado. She is a first generation Trinidadian American.
Joy attended Howard University in Washington, D.C. and graduated with a degree in Electronic Studio Art. The traditional studio courses were transformative to her practice and encouraged a love for craft and exploration.
Joy is a veteran art teacher and enjoys helping students discover their artistic voice.
June Linowitz has been engaged with art her whole life. She has been, at varying times, an art teacher, a gallery director, and a corporate art consultant with her own business, ArtSeen. She has worked with local community groups, serving on the boards of local art and philanthropic organizations. Currently, she serves on the board of the McLean Project for the Arts and recently joined the Advisory Board of the Montgomery County Community Foundation.
