Artist Amber Proctor is a local DMV artist and art educator who looks to inspire the next "dope" artists with her works of art. As a long time art art appreciator and administrative assistant with LW arts and Design, she is a self taught artist who felt is was time to share in her creativity with the world .
Growing up Amber described her pencil and sketchbook as her most valued possession and when faced with adverse times in life took to art as a form of self-expression. With the world and the adversity we all face in it , she took the freedom of art to express her thoughts.
HOPE (Tonisha Hope McCorkle) is an award-winning transdisciplinary artist, performer, and educator whose canvas is not just a surface, but a portal for healing. She creates transformative and emotionally sensual works of art through painting, collage, movement, and sculpture. Weaving together motifs of memories, mental health, and shadow work, HOPE communicates the intricacies of divine femininity through the lens of self-portraiture, sacred feminine symbolism, and the female gaze.
I am a photographer and artist located in Baltimore, MD. My work is multi-media in nature. I do not believe in sticking to one material or pursuing just one theme. Instead, I am interested in the intersection of ideas and believe that experimentation is the marker of a great artist.
I'm an abstract artist currently working in painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, and photography. I earned my BFA, with a concentration in painting, from Kutztown University in 1996. For 20 years I was a long term art substitute teacher at Baltimore County Public Schools K-12. I'm currently practicing art full-time in my Hampden studio.
