Arlette Jassel
Narrative painting and protest art have been my forms of expression for over 40 years. I studied art at Hunter College in NYC and received a BFA in painting and I earned an MAT in art education at The University of Chicago. I have taught art in Montgomery County Public Schools for over 25 years, preserving my studio and art practice by teaching only part-time. Two of my drawings separated by 44 years from my work with the feminist artist movement are in the collection of the Smithsonian Museum. They are on display in the National Portrait Gallery through 2021.
EdJKaitz
Ed started producing art when he was sick with rheumatic fever, and bedridden, in middle school. Though he went on to take drawing classes, and got accepted at art school, his inspirations were from internal states of suffering, feelings, and dreams.
