Born in southern Virginia during the seventies to a family where art was not practiced or encouraged, Qrcky was drawn instinctively to Chuck Jones' cartoons, Norman Rockwell's c, and Bob Ross' PBS show. Qrcky would try to imitate their art while watching cartoons. Twenty years later and entirely desolated by a bad marriage and subsequent relationships, Qrcky began to paint, reverting to the kinds of self-expression he felt closest to as a child. Finding freedom in his art, Qrcky discovered his voice by exiling himself away from friends and family.
I am a life long artist and Marylander. I draw, sculp and oil paint.
In April 2018, I submitted a community grant to MSAC for 8 benches by 8 artist to be located on 8 business for the public to enjoy in Historic Stevensville. The project was call 'Benches of the Shore' in Queen Anne's County, Maryland.
Karen Jenise Richey is a visual artist and graphic designer in Frederick, Maryland. Blackbird Art & Design is her portfolio of past and current passions and projects. She received her Fine Arts degree from the University of Maryland with a concentration in Applied Design. After over twenty-five years in the field of advertising and marketing, she is happy to be working in the studio again, primarily painting, but also exploring new mediums and techniques through further study and practice. Aziza Afzal is a queer, multi-racial artist residing in Maryland. She creates art in many mediums, such as performance, adaptation, script-writing, painting (murals), linocut and intaglio printmaking, drawing, jewelry-making, design, collage, and puppetry.
Rashad Ali Muhammad is a multidisciplinary collage artist known for creating vivid and captivating works reflecting the vast complexities of our human existence. With a formal graphic design and photography education, Muhammad blends his acquired skills to create art that fascinates and expands the mind. His love for innovation and continued experimentation fuels my whimsical and enchanting artistic sensibilities. He works primarily in mixed media analog and digital collage.
In her most recent work, Audra uses digitally manipulated photographs of the environment around her as the basis for her paintings. Her understanding of visual design concepts and color theory are evident in her work. By connecting photography, graphic design, and painting, Audra has found authenticity in her art practice.

Leonard C. Wilson is a Baltimore photographer and new media artist who creates visual works that focus on visual variations, rhythms and patterns. From the very beginning of his explorations in the arts he explains: "I have always believed there are visual rhythms which are powerful enough to lead us to archetypal experiences that can reveal the deeper mysteries of where we are from (Origin), what we are (Identity) and where we could go (Evolution)".
