Breana Greene
Breana Greene is an African American Award-winning animator and self-published children's book author/illustrator from Baltimore Maryland. She graduated from George Washington Carver Center for Arts and Technology in 2014, and School of Visual Arts in 2018. Since graduating SVA, Breana has been actively making her own independent career through creating and developing her own independent animated films and self-publishing her own children’s books.
Sam Lennon
Sam Lennon is a Maryland-based artist living near the Chesapeake Bay.  She studied at VCU School of the Arts and creates unique collages resembling paintings.  Using handmade papers sourced globally, Lennon's work captures her vibrant perception of nature, balancing "chaos and control" within a limited palette.  Her art, initially inspired by kite designs, is now framed between glass, showcasing the delicate textures and intricate patterns of the papers.

My drawings and sketchbooks use watercolor and graphite to investigate images in series. I find inspiration in my surroundings and have been working from the same studio window since 1985. My journals have tracked my dreams and creative process steadily since 1977. Limited edition intaglio prints have also been important to my development.

I also create Ai-generated art and patterns and am on a mission to help more African-Americans learn to embrace, leverage and dominate the Ai space.
Shaawan Francis Keahna
Shaawan Francis Keahna (b. 1997) is an enrolled member of the White Earth Band of Minnesota Ojibwe and a Meskwaki descendant. His visual art has been to the Miikanan Gallery at the Watermark Art Center, All My Relations, Giizhigen Artists Incubator, the Walker’s Point Center for the Arts, and the Minneapolis Institute of Art. The short film “a place on the edge of breath,” which he co-produced and was featured in, won best documentary at Bushwick Film Festival. His words are in Same Faces Collective, Tension Literary, Hoxie Gorge Review, Unstaged, and too many others to list here.

Taking on public spaces that have been abandoned and adding plants and small pieces of natural art. Items with sticks/stones/jewels/mirrors, etc. 2000-2017 Fairies Crossing Focused on the inner city landscapes with native perennials and edibles. 2008-2013 OLD CITY green. Inner city nursery known as “The Green Beating Heart of Shaw.” Retail and community space built out of an abandoned lot that was once a gas station.
