For Lauren, creating and sharing knowledge isn’t just a job, it is her life. She received her Masters of Fine Arts from the University of Maryland in 2020 and is a classically trained musician. You will often find her instructing art-related courses at area universities and arts centers, taking commissions for sculptures, prints, paintings, and graphic design, as well as consulting on large public art projects.
Sophie Cannon is an artist from Golden Colorado based in Baltimore. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Maryland Institute Collage of Art with a BFA in photography and a minor in art history. Through her practice, Cannon uses multimedia techniques that rely on experimentation, intuition, and questioning the nature of photography and the act of looking. With her work and approach, Cannon ties her art with her personal experiences in the world, addressing questions about the nature of existence and reality.
