Vibrant, Dynamic and Abstract are words to describe the soulful art of Alicia Ashley Weathersby.
She began her journey as a "primitive" artist creating jewelry. Her pieces combine crafting, fine arts, and dance techniques as vehicles to her passion and life experiences. Freed from the constraints of conventional techniques, Ms. Ashley conveys her desire to express herself and be uniquely abstract.
The dynamism in her pieces is reflective of movement in nature as well as the human body, which is vividly transformed into an abstract presentation.
Hello, I am Amber Jones. I am from Baltimore, Maryland. I am the Visual Artist and Owner of Keiota Studio LLC. Keiota Studio is my handcrafted gift shop. I truly believe in self-improvement. That's why I sell self-care products, stationery to help customers plan their goals, and artwork to beautify their homes and offices. I have three children and I own a dog. Some of my interests include gardening, roller skating, and horseback riding. I feature my interests as subjects in my artwork.
I have been making art since age 4 and it feeds my soul! I work in many different mediums: Clay Sculpture, Beaded Jewelry, Costume Headpieces, Dog Portraits, Body Paint. I do commission work for costumes, dog portraits, jewelry & sculpture.
Originally from Cecil County, I moved to Salisbury, MD at various times since 1993, graduating from Lasell College and Salisbury University. I am a freelance artist who predominantly works in pastel to create portraits and landscapes. My inspiration comes from artists such as Rembrandt and Monet. The type of work I am known for is stylized realism.
I am an active resident of Baltimore City currently working with several, nonprofit organizations to lead art workshops and classes with young people. I am a visual artist and advocate. I am deeply passionate and supportive of Baltimore's DIY music scene. While I am very excited to begin bringing my community practice into that space, I am currently finishing my MFA in Community Arts at MICA, and looking forward to opportunities to showcase my personal art practice which is multidisciplinary.
