Hello! I am Ashley, my friends call me Ash. I am a lifelong, self-taught artist and love being able to use my technical and artistic brain simultaneously. I love the ability to use my painting, graphic design, web design, and photography skills. I have a Bachelors degree in Software Development. My photography style is very candid and I like to capture the “mood” or “vibe” of a person. I am a available for all of your photography needs. I have captured everything from weddings, protests, drag brunches, portraits, religious ceremonies, and even pet photography.
I am a digital storyteller and teacher, who does documentary that pushes into experimental film. Being that I started as a journalist, working for newspapers and magazines I am always writing -- novels, short stories, screenplays and post-it notes. Lately I've been penning songs. You might see a pattern here.
Fahimeh Vahdat is an Iranian American mixed media installation and performance artist living in Columbia, Maryland. As an activist artist, Vahdat’s work focuses on human rights / women & children’s rights violation especially domestic violence in Iran and the United States. Vahdat’s work has been exhibited not only in the USA but also in Argentina, Italy, Poland, China, the United Arab Emirates, India, Turkyeh, and South Africa. Vahdat has received numerous grants, recently from Deutsch Foundation and the Maryland State Individual Artist Award.
