Our Mission is to provide opportunities for a diverse student population to discover their passion. Students at the academy will participate in in-depth studies of multiple aspects including history, theory, technique, and practice of Visual Art, Theatre, Music, Dance and Television Media. A highly trained staff of arts educators will develop within the students the courage to take risks and become leaders. Together we will build an active arts community where VPA academy students inspire others to express themselves through various artistic methods.

Baltimore School of Music is the premier and largest community music school in Baltimore City and the surrounding area. Voted "Best Music Lessons in Baltimore" by The Baltimore Sun in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. The school moved to its current location at The Village Shops at Cross Keys in 2020.

The Creative Representation Empire is an educational resource company that specializes in culturally representative coloring books and programs. With a growing collection of over a dozen coloring books and social emotional learning curriculum, TCRE's collection utilizes community curated images, affirmations, and educational content to create an immersive hands-on learning experience.
We specialize in custom hand pulled screen printing decoration on apparel. We also preform live screen printing events where we showcase our skills and teach people the process of our work. We have done live printing events for Salisbury university and various farmers markets. We also practice sculpture and poetry. My wife and I have been creating with Sam’s Shirts since October 2019.
The School for Performing Arts and Recording for Kids (SPARK) is dedicated to helping students of all ages and backgrounds develop their musical abilities while also teaching them how to create, record, and perform their own songs. We aim to empower students to express themselves through the art of music. While some may learn the basics of their instruments, many lack opportunities to apply these skills creatively. Our program bridges this gap by providing hands-on experience in music creation and performance.
Dee Makes Things 4U is a small business that focuses on personalized merchandise and costuming.
My youth mentorship program targets the Sandtown Winchester, Penn-North, and Harlem Park areas hosting restorative mentorship sessions for young ladies facing adverse childhood experiences. Using dance, art, restorative practices, and community service our program is designed to take unsupervised and unmotivated young ladies off the streets and into the studio.
The City of Bowie Arts Committee maintains an art gallery on the first and second floors of Bowie City Hall. The gallery includes hanging space for artwork, and two display cases for three-dimensional artwork.
The Arts Committee changes the gallery, usually on a quarterly basis. The majority of the gallery exhibits are juried shows. Artists all over the metro DC-Baltimore area are eligible to participate in the juried shows. Artists are then invited to submit digital images of their artwork, along with the entry form.
