Qrcky
Born in southern Virginia during the seventies to a family where art was not practiced or encouraged, Qrcky was drawn instinctively to Chuck Jones' cartoons, Norman Rockwell's c, and Bob Ross' PBS show. Qrcky would try to imitate their art while watching cartoons. Twenty years later and entirely desolated by a bad marriage and subsequent relationships, Qrcky began to paint, reverting to the kinds of self-expression he felt closest to as a child. Finding freedom in his art, Qrcky discovered his voice by exiling himself away from friends and family.

Rosa Leff
Between painting alongside her grandmother and watching her father build reproduction antique furniture, Rosa Leff grew up seeing no distinction between fine art and craft.  What mattered was that things were made by hand and done well.  It is with that in mind that she creates her hand-cut paper pieces.  Each of Leff’s papercuts is cut by hand from a single sheet of paper using a knife.  Her cityscapes are based on photos she’s taken in her neighborhood and all over the world.  While Leff is best known for her ability to capture thin tangles of powerlines and intricate brickwork, she also enj
Laura Vernon Russell
Laura Vernon Russell earned a BFA in Painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art.  She is an artist of varied skills in many media (photography, encaustic painting, fiber).  Her on-going series of photographs and paintings have such titles as The Avian Landscape, Tracks in Nature, The Food Chain, A Study of Urban Crows, The Hidden Forest.  Her series of workshops entitled Lifeforms Medicine Dolls takes participants into nature to find artifacts to include in talismans created under her direction in her studio.  She is the recipient of a 2003 Maryland State Individual Artists Award for
