Born in Miami Florida in 1974. At a young age she moved with her family to Ecuador, South America, where she lived for a decade. Upon her return to the United States her love for painting, sculpting and illustration guided her educational pursuits. She attended the Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota Florida, where she earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts with a major in Illustration. In 2003 her husband’s military career brought her to Maryland where she now lives with her Husband and their two children.
I grew up in western North Carolina with parents that were very talented and creative. After some life changes, I moved to southern Maryland to embark on new journeys, one of which was to develop my painting skills. I found a love for both acrylic and pastels, although I have experimented with oils and watercolor. I enjoy painting still life and landscapes, especially the lovely marshes found along the Maryland coast. I have enjoyed developing my skills through experimentation and through various artist videos and tutorials.
My artwork is based on reallife trauma and moments in life that has happened to me or what i have seen. Each drawing tells a story and is like a visual diary to me it’s like 1000 words in one picture. Each one has a name and means everything to me. I draw from my heart and soul and feel an emotional and spiritual connection with my art.
Graduated from Northern Virginia Community College in 2018 with an A.A.A. in Applied Arts and A.S. in General Studies.
I am an amateur photographer based in Southern Maryland. I love showcasing the local Southern Maryland beauty, from barns and wildlife to the hidden abandoned places. I post my favorite work on my instagram account @brialmont_photography, and have had several featured. I also have work exhibited in the St Mary’s Art Council Gallery in Leonardtown, MD.
Photography started out as a hobby to occupy the extra time I had after earning my MBA in 2016. It has become my passion, and I love sharing my work with folks.
