Established by Montgomery County in 1994, Bethesda Urban Partnership, Inc. (BUP) is a downtown management organization that maintains and markets downtown Bethesda. The organization was developed to promote downtown Bethesda as a desirable place to live, work and visit as well as foster a community that features restaurants, retailers, arts venues and more.

The Sandy Spring Museum is a catalyst for community building by allowing opportunities for community-driven creative engagement in a range of cultural arts. We provide the environment and inspiration for artists and community members to create and host events, performances, activities, and exhibits that engage, stimulate, and bring people together.
VisArts, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is a hub for the visual arts that engages nearly 30,000 visitors annually through contemporary art exhibitions, a studio artist program, art classes (including the largest ceramics program in the region) and camps, VisAbility Art Lab (a supported studio for artists with disabilities), community art programs, the annual Rockville Arts Festival, and private social and corporate event space. Founded in 1987, VisArts is committed to our mission of transforming individuals and communities through the visual arts.
Carrie Carter (no pronouns) lived most of childhood unable to speak to others outside of the home due to a debilitating anxiety condition called Selective Mutism. Folding paper became a method of grounding, mindful, meditation; a way to block out anxiety and enjoy comforting silence of mind and body. During that time, Carrie also began her journey as a storyteller, writing fictional stories, letters to penpals around the world, and proofreading articles for her journalist father.
The F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre is a vibrant, local theatre dedicated to the performing arts. Located in the Civic Center, this 446-seat theatre boasts over 100 performances a year. Olney Theatre Center for the Arts produces and curates theatrical performance for the diverse audiences in our community, and educates, learns from, supports and inspires a more inclusive generation of theater-makers.
Carrie Alita Carter is an internationally acclaimed taiko (Japanese drum) artist and dancer. Her original compositions are known for their graceful dance-like choreography. Drawing from her experience living in Japan, her traditional ballet and tap dance background juxtaposed with the modern-style Japanese taiko results in a captivating blend of musicianship, tradition, and innovation.

Sukanya Mukherji (https://mayurdance.org/director/) has a Master of Dance degree from Rabindra Bharati University, Calcutta, India, and is the recipient of the gold medal in her year. She is the founder and the Artistic Director of Mayur Dance Academy and Company; both are dedicated to promoting Indian Performing Arts, especially the classical dance form Odissi. Under the heading of these organizations, she has staged many highly acclaimed shows since 1993.
