George Tuggle
I began drawing at a very young age by copying characters from comic books and newspaper comic strips. As my style developed, the influence of their dynamic compositions and uses of color and light would reveal themselves in my art. Continuing to draw and paint in college, my focus turned to commercial art: specifically, graphic design and illustration. I earned a BFA degree in graphic design from The Kansas City Art Institute, and a master’s degree in illustration from Syracuse University.
