2021

These handmade photo collages are part of my “Architextures” series, ongoing since 2000, and they combine my lifelong involvement with both silver-based photography and collage.

The inspiration for this series is the architecture and urban landscapes of Manhattan. I also use images of nature, store window interiors, and other locales and subjects that evoke strong feelings of a time or place

These photo collages are completely handmade, from the hand-processed film and individually-printed photographs, which are meticulously cut and assembled into 2-D and 3-D geometric abstractions.
