My creative work spans from cinema to video art to interactive media to screenwriting and creative non-fiction. My creative work utilizes strategies of immersion, verisimilitude and self-reflexivity to engage the viewer at a sensory level and encourage heightened interactivity. Multi-layered soundscapes combine with distorted visuals to explore vision-versus-deprivation and to evoke a disrupted sensory experience within the viewer akin to the fragmented perspectives of my characters. The cinematic apparatus is often presented as a metaphor for the ephemeral, biased nature of human perception. I am creatively inspired by the “non-places” within society – urban ruins, empty lots, highway overpasses, industrial zones – transitory spaces we pass through, unseeing – are the cinematic backdrop for the personal, character-driven stories I explore.Featured Work

Tunnel Vision
HD Video, Super 16mm.
2016
Tunnel Vision is an experimental narrative short film that explores the struggle between vision and blindness – both literal and metaphorical – that all people must face when confronting their past. Sarah and Brandon are ex-lovers who reunite after Brandon discovers that he suffers from a rare eye disorder that is slowly causing him to go blind. Faced with the dilemma of how to spend his last days with his fading vision, he convinces Sarah to drive him back to the places from their shared past so he can see them – and her – once more.
