Mike Byson

About the Artist

Mike Byson is half tigerbison, half man. His tigerbison half is elusive but pops up around town sometimes. He has been seen flying, grazing, and playing basketball. His human half is a 28-year-old mixed media artist, music producer, and photographer based in Baltimore, Maryland. His studio work has been exhibited in Baltimore and Colombia, where he most recently participated in an artist residency program at ArteSumapaz. His street art and studio pieces have been commissioned around the Mid-Atlantic region. He has produced music for MC Brooklyn and self-released three instrumental projects. He hasn’t done anything special with photography yet but check out his pictures, they’re pretty cool. Aside from his personal art practice, Mike is passionate about giving back to the community. He collaborated on a clothing line with Alston for Athletes, a non-profit based in Baltimore dedicated to providing mental health resources to student athletes. He donated work to Art for Ukraine, a benefit to support Ukrainian artists affected by war. He volunteers at various art centers in Baltimore and is committed to providing creative outlets to underserved communities.
