MSAC's exhibition Women and Nature explores our relationship with Mother Earth through visual art and poetry created by Maryland artists. The exhibition will include a variety of media within two-dimensional works, including drawing, painting, mixed-media collage, photography, etc., as well as poetry.
Artists may submit up to two (2) pieces of visual artwork or poetry no longer than the envoy format (28 lines) for consideration. All submissions should be jpeg or PDF formats. Submitted artwork should not be larger than 7'x7' (84"x84").
If work is accepted into the exhibition, the artwork must be framed (including writing and/or poetry works) or matted and wired on the back to be ready to hang. The artist’s contact information must be attached to the back, and pricing information should be included if the artwork is for sale (via the artist). Artwork must be dropped off or delivered to MSAC office between March 19 and March 26, 2020.
Application closes on March 5, 2020, or after 150 pieces of artwork/poetry have been collected.
The exhibition opening reception is scheduled for April 2, 6-8 PM. Work will be un-installed the week of June 22 and must be picked up by June 26, 2020.
