The Artists’ Emporium was designed to accommodate a bevy of backgrounds and tastes. With such a vast collection of pieces, there are multiple works of art to pique anyone’s interest. The mission of the Julio Fine Arts Gallery is to encourage the understanding and appreciation of the visual arts by offering diverse, high-quality exhibitions and programs. By presenting innovative and intellectually challenging work in the gallery and through programs and events, the Gallery provides access to high impact out of classroom learning opportunities for the Loyola community and the public at large. The Gallery aims to support the incredible wealth of talented artists in our own region by featuring Baltimore and area artists in exhibitions and programs as often as possible.
Galerie Myrtis (GM) is an emerging blue-chip gallery and art advisory specializing in twentieth and twenty-first-century American art with a focus on work created by African American artists. The gallery opened its doors in 2006 to utilize the visual arts to raise awareness for artists who deserve recognition for their contributions in artistically portraying our cultural, social, historical, and political landscapes; and to recognize art movements that paved the way for freedom of artistic expression.
The Creative Alliance builds communities by bringing together artists and audiences from diverse backgrounds to experience spectacular arts and education programs and engage in the creative process. We provide support to area artists, promote Baltimore as a center for creative production, act as a positive force in our community, and advocate for cultural expression rooted in a sense of place. The Sandy Spring Museum is a catalyst for community building by allowing opportunities for community-driven creative engagement in a range of cultural arts. VisArts, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is a hub for the visual arts that engages nearly 30,000 visitors annually through contemporary art exhibitions, a studio artist program, art classes (including the largest ceramics program in the region) and camps, VisAbility Art Lab (a supported studio for artists with disabilities), community art programs, the annual Rockville Arts Festival, and private social and corporate event space.
