Dance Exchange

Dance Exchange collaborates across generations, disciplines, and communities to channel the power of dancemaking as a means for dialogue, a source of critical reflection, and a creative engine for thought and action.

Strathmore

The most prolific multidisciplinary arts presenter in the state of Maryland, Strathmore Hall Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit arts organization in Montgomery County that presents and produces music performances, art exhibitions, and education programs on our campus, in the community, and online. Strathmore was founded in 1981 to provide arts opportunities for the people of Montgomery County and to maintain the then newly-acquired property in North Bethesda on behalf of the County as a home for the arts.

Docs In Progress

The mission of Docs In Progress is to give individuals the tools to tell stories through documentary film to educate, inspire, and transform the way people view their world. Documentary films engage us in history, folklore, culture, and ideas while deepening the public’s experience, understanding, and appreciation for documentary as a form of expression, historical documentation, and visual literature.

Garrett Lakes Arts Festival

GARRETT LAKES ARTS FESTIVAL BEGAN WITH A VISION OF A MUSIC FESTIVAL IN GARRETT COUNTY. In December 1986, a group of Garrett County residents gathered to explore that vision and a related proposal from local resident Kathryn Sincell and violinist Erick Friedman. The joint desire was to promote cultural and artistic activities in the county and to rekindle the Mountain Chautauqua spirit, once a hallmark of Garrett County life. A core of 22 citizens evolved from the originators, many of whom remained in leadership roles, serving with dedication and distinction in the ensuing years.

Artivate, Inc.

While the arts have faced cutbacks in many schools, Artivate ensures that creativity has a place to grow and flourish. Since 1995, through alliances with artists, arts organizations, museums, community-based groups, and service agencies, it has brought culturally diverse programs – in theater, dance, drawing, and singing – directly to DC-area schools and communities, including public libraries, schools, botanical gardens, museums, and theaters. Our School and Community Outreach program works with schools and other community organizations to design and plan programs.

Deer Creek Chorale

The Deer Creek Chorale is a multi-generational choir with over 70 non-auditioned singers from Maryland’s Baltimore & Harford counties and Southern Pennsylvania.  A varied and challenging repertoire encourages vocal technique, musicianship and expression. The Chorale includes a Youth Choir, an Adult Choir (including High School students) and the Chamber Choir. The Chorale seeks to develop the potential of singers at all levels of experience. Deer Creek Chorale sings locally and gives globally.

Hippodrome Foundation, Inc.

Theater experiences can be life-changing.  Through free outreach and education programs, the Hippodrome Foundation works to introduce Maryland students and community members to the arts and all of the assets of the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center. By exposing young people to new possibilities, we are raising the curtain on opportunity.

The Steinway Series at Silo Hill introduces you to a new, hip concert-going experience: down on the farm and in a barn. Dedicated to reinventing the way people experience live classical music, The Music Barn at Silo Hill offers an unparalleled musical experience with its intimate, informal setting, fabulous acoustics, and impressive Steinway grand piano.

1101 Dance Academy

Through dance, we embed foundational skills in the young men and women we serve. We guide and build members to become rounded individuals within their community, pipelining them as devoted and sound leaders in life, not only during practice and or performance. Our process is to set short and long-term goals and utilize progressive measures to catapult the resolve of our students. We emphasize the sound importance of punctuality, respectfulness, independence, discipline, and engagement in your involvement.
