Janna Rice
I am Artist and Visual Designer living in Baltimore, Maryland. I am a member of the Visual Arts Faculty and the Exhibitions Educator (Curator) at The Park School of Baltimore. My photographic constructions reference the natural world in an effort to consider the transitory essence of being, and to confront my own sense of existential dread. I find comfort in the ephemeral cycle of Nature, and hope to convey tranquility and solitude through these compositions.

Infinite Healing of Nature

Within my digital art practice, I've been fascinated and thrilled to explore the therapeutic effects of motion and sound. Spending time in nature is top of my list for replenishing my energy and regrounding myself. With the constant stresses in our lives, finding time to rest our minds and disconnect for our well-being is imperative. With that in mind, I created this collection of psychedelic digital collages to help zone out from daily stresses. I want the kaleidoscope motif combined with nature visuals and audio to create a meditative experience — helping relax your body as you gaze into the geometric patterns, unlocking the door between the conscious and subconscious minds.

Song of Songs 4:9
Music by R. Tasat
Video and video production by Irv Cohen
You have enraptured my heart, my sister, my bride
With one glance of your eyes, with one link of your necklace.
How fair is your love, my sister, my bride! Better than wine.
The aroma of your ointments is better than all spices.
Your lips, my bride, taste of honey and milk.
Your raiments waft the scent of Lebanon.
