I am primarily a visual artist based in Seattle, WA. with more than 23 years in the craft of sign writing and graphics, as well as murals, pinstriping and other avenues of adornment. I additionally have a personal practice in exploratory painting sometimes mixed with an old habit of word play and poetry. I like the avenue of sculpture but haven't delved far into that realm just yet
I love to create with color. Making pieces that can be worn or that add color to a home or garden has always brought me great joy.
When I was 10 years old my parents took me to see a glassblower. Watching him transform a blob of molten glass into a finished piece immediately intrigued me and made me want to learn more about it. Trying this art form went to the top of my bucket list. Many years later I found Art of Fire and began taking lessons. After 15 years of glassblowing I’m still learning new techniques, designing, playing with colors, and having more fun than I ever imagined.
