Sylvia Jones reading in The HOT L Poets Series! June 12, 2022. The HOT L Poets Series is a reading series presented by Smartish Pace magazine and Baltimore Poets Theatre. Readings are held on the second Sunday of the month at The Ivy Bookshop in Baltimore and feature two or three poets along with an open mic.

Lauren Amanda
Lauren Amanda Garrett (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist. Ancestor work and spirituality inform Lauren's overall process. She primarily braids music, visual art, poetry, with media that includes beadwork, photography, and experimental performance art. Lauren is Federally enrolled with the Eastern Shoshone Tribe. She also embodies ancestral bloodlines of Celtic, Nordic, and Teutonic origins. Lauren's first four original "Indigenous Flower Fairies" paintings are on display at the Fort Bridger State Historic site in southwestern Wyoming.
Annie Marhefka
Annie Marhefka is a writer in Baltimore, Maryland whose writing has been published by Lunch Ticket, Fatal Flaw Lit, Literary Mama, Reckon Review, Pithead Chapel, HAD, and others, and her work has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net. Annie is the Executive Director at Yellow Arrow Publishing, a Baltimore-based nonprofit supporting and empowering women-identifying writers. Nic Daney-Cuffie is a street photographer from Baltimore, Maryland. He has been capturing the vibrant and diverse scenes of his city for over five years, using his camera as a tool to tell stories and document social issues. He is passionate about sharing his perspective and inspiring others to explore the beauty and complexity of urban life.
Neha Misra Studio
First generation immigrant Neha Misra (she/her) is a contemporary eco-folk visual artist, poet, and an award winning climate justice advocate. Neha’s Earth stewardship centered multi-disciplinary studio uses the transformative power of art to build bridges between our private, collective, and planetary healing. Neha has been recognized as a Regenerative Artivist by Design Science Studio – a partnership between the Buckminster Fuller Institute and habRitual for world’s leading planet conscious artists.
Heather M
Heather M is a feminist, artist, and author as well as the principal voice behind the Femme Project, an art effort addressing themes of identity, sex and sexuality and equality.  After carving out a notable career as a creative director and marketing consultant, she walked away from the corporate world in 2014 to start the Femme Project with the intent of creating art with a purpose. Since then, the work of the Femme Project has driven awareness and action surrounding women’s issues through visual mediums, film, writing, and social engagement.
