Sylvia Jones is a writer, educator, and prison abolitionist. She earned her MFA from American University in Washington D.C., and recently served as a 2021-22 Stadler Fellow at Bucknell University. She’s associate poetry editor at Black Lawrence Press and works part-time teaching creative writing and composition at Goucher College and The George Washington University. She also is reader for the journal, Ploughshares.
The Drifish
Femi Lawal or Femi the DriFish has been a professional spoken word artist and slam poet for more than 10 years. Best known as one half of the spoken word/Hip Hop-influenced duo, THE 5th L, and the frontman for the Hip-Hop Rock band the Out of Water eXperience, Femi uses his artistry to encourage his listeners to discover their own unique voices and identities in his writings, performances, and teachings.

National Players
National Players is America’s longest-running touring theatre company and the signature outreach program of Olney Theatre Center, a Helen Hayes Award-winner and one of two state-designated theatres in Maryland. John Morogiello
John Morogiello has been a teaching artist in Maryland since 1997, offering residencies in playwriting for students in grades 3 and above that integrate curricular subject matter with performance and dramatic story-telling.  His plays (including Engaging Shaw, Blame It On Beckett, and The Consul, The Tramp, and America's Sweetheart) have been produced off-Broadway, in Europe, and at some of America's premier regional theaters.  John is also the artistic director of Best Medicine Rep Theater Company in Gaithersburg.
