Lydia Sylvia Martin
Lydia Sylvia Martin is a musician and writer from Central Maryland. She performed with her family, The Martin Family Band, for over 20 years and studied traditional old-time and Irish music. She has an MFA in Creative Nonfiction Writing from Goucher College and currently performs and teaches banjo. 
Laura Sturza, Writer/Teacher
Laura Sturza is a writer and teacher living in Rockville, Maryland. She primarily teaches classes for older adults that incorporate her experience as a writer, storyteller, and theatre artist. She marvels over the courage and artistry of her students and welcomes the chance to work with groups of all ages and backgrounds. Laura's work is published in The Washington Post, Shondaland, AARP’s The Girlfriend,  The LA Times, and Lunch Ticket, among others. Laura wrote, produced, and starred in the one-woman show, Finding the Perfect Place to Live in 111 Gyrations.
Dr. Nicole Better-Green
My name is Dr. Nicole, and I am an author, educator and literary coach. I have a doctoral degree from George Mason University in Education. I am also the author of two books and a collection of poems. My books are inspiring stories about overcoming difficult circumstances.
David C. Newcomb
David Newcomb has been writing for almost sixty years, covering genres that include poetry, plays, a musical, three novels, nonfiction journals on theater and aviation, and a wide range of advocacy pieces for a Washington DC law firm. Retired now and focusing entirely on stage plays, Newcomb has recently completed a history entitled Hercules, Martha, and George, which dramatizes the struggle for freedom by Hercules Posey, President Washington's enslaved chef.

Jefferson is a timeless true story that uses personal experience (“auto”) to describe and interpret (“graphy”) cultural texts (journals and archival records), experiences, beliefs, and practices (“ethno”). Dr. Jefferson directed and produced the autoethnographic performance at regional and national theaters such as the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Page to Stage. She performed alongside her talented and gifted daughters, Nailah and Miniya, who portrayed the younger version of their mother.
