Silver Spring Stage, founded in 1967, is a community theatre with a mission to present the best in contemporary plays at affordable prices. Our theater facility is located in the Woodmoor Shopping Center in the Four Corners area of Silver Spring, Maryland, and we draw audiences from throughout the DMV area. In recent years we have produced plays that seek to embrace the diversity of our area and expand our reach to new artists and audiences.
Since its founding in 1982, the Maryland Symphony Orchestra’s influence and reputation has reached far beyond Western Maryland. It is one of only four professional symphony orchestras in Maryland and audience members from South Central Pennsylvania, West Virginia’s Eastern Panhandle, the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan area are drawn to concerts held at the historic Maryland Theatre in downtown Hagerstown.
Everyman Theatre is a professional theatre celebrating the actor, with a Resident Company of artists from the Baltimore/Washington, DC area. The theatre is dedicated to engaging the audience through a shared experience between actor and audience seeking connection and emotional truth in performance. Each season of plays is carefully curated to foster a diverse range of human experiences found in a mix of dramas and comedies selected from timeless classics to world premieres of plays.
InterAct Story Theatre is a theatre for young audiences and multidisciplinary arts-in-education organization based in Wheaton, Maryland.
Round House Theatre is a leading professional theatre in the Washington, DC area. Each year, Round House produces a series of new plays, musicals, and modern classics, welcoming more than 50,000 people. We serve more than 5,000 students annually at the Round House Education Center in Silver Spring, at our theatre in Bethesda, and in schools throughout the DC-metro area. Our Education and Engagement programs promote accessibility by offering year-round free and reduced-cost programming for students of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels.
MET and its Founders Tad Janes & Gené Fouché have spearheaded the growth of MET from an improv troupe of young comics called the Comedy Pigs who performed in the back of local Frederick, MD bars in the late 90’s into a community stronghold.
