The Annapolis Symphony Orchestra (ASO) is now entering its 62th year as the leading performing arts organization in Anne Arundel County. It features 70 professional union musicians and an Academy focused on making music education accessible for all.

Porchfest is annual event open to the public, which features bands and musicians playing on the front porches of South Prospect Street in Hagerstown.
the event aims to marry music with the history of the street, which is on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of several historic districts designated by the City of Hagerstown.
This past year’s event was to feature more than 50 musicians playing on front porches, a main stage and a beer garden. Unfortunately, tropical storm Ophelia moved up the East Coast dumping too much rain to safely hold the event.
Transformation Theatre (TT) provides a collaboration venue with ‘up-and-coming’ and established theatre artists to focus on socially relevant original, unpublished plays and adaptations celebrating underrepresented groups. TT typically promotes the works of playwrights in the DC/MD/VA region, however, playwrights throughout the country, as well as those outside the US may submit work for consideration. Through the live productions of these playwrights’ work, TT strives to enhance and stimulate an understanding of ourselves and others.

Youthful Dreams Theatre is a both a performance arts producing entity and an applied theatre collective that fosters a process-oriented safe space for Global Majority/BIPOC youth in our community by engaging mind, body, and spirit to develop stories centering youth voices for Prince George’s County. Youthful Dreams Theatre was initiated through research and creative development at Bowie State University's Theatre program under the direction of Associate Professor Elena Velasco and students and alums of the BSU Theatre program.
