Currently listed in Who's Who in American Art for the past 20 years. I have exhibited widely across the United States and my work is included in both private and corporate collections. I teach workshops on the Business of Art, Experimental Water Media, Hand-pulled Monotypes, and Experimental Collage. I was founder and director of Archway Gallery in Houston Texas, Gallery curator for the Barrington Area Arts Council, and a member of the Houston Art Dealers Association.
Selin Balci is an interdisciplinary artist and researcher. Her artistic practice combines scientific equipment and biological mediums with traditional art materials. Selin’s work is classified as bio-art, a new direction in contemporary art that employs living organisms. The marriage of her formal science and art education lets her exploit this relatively new practice. She has a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Maryland, a Bachelor of Fine Arts from West Virginia University, and a Bachelor of Science from Istanbul University.
Wilford W. Scott retired recently as the Head of Adult Programs at the National Gallery. With six staff lecturers and 125 volunteer docents, this department is responsible for the vast majority of gallery tours and auditorium lectures offered to the general public. The department is also responsible for orienting over 4 million visitors each year with the help of two paid staff and almost 200 art information volunteers. I have taken classes at the Boca Museum of Art School, Armory Art School in West Palm Beach and have studied with several private instructors who have generously guided my art education. My work has been exhibited at Boca Museum of Art,Women in the Visual Arts,and Armory Art Center. My paintings are also represented in private collections.
Patrice Drago is an abstract and non-objective artist, working mostly in acrylic and mixed media. Originally from New York, she has lived up and down the East Coast from Maine to Florida, and is now residing in Annapolis, Maryland. She's been creating art in various forms all her life. Her artistic roots are in abstract expression since grade school, progressing to painting on sheets hung from the ceiling in high school. She has worked in all 2D media and continuously explores new techniques that will help her fully express her vision of the urban environment and the natural world.
Leigh writes young adult fiction. She is a graduate from the University of Maryland and a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators (SCBWI).
Her third young adult novel, Koush Hollow, a Southern Gothic set in New Orleans, will release in Fall 2020 from The Parliament House Press.
Her second young adult novel, Bewitching Hannah, released September 17, 2017. The story is set in present-day Annapolis, Maryland, her hometown.
Her debut novel, Disenchanted, was inspired by the real Wethersfield witches of seventeenth century Connecticut. The book released on June 1, 2015.
The award winning recording artist “DiVine of Annapolis” was formed and started singing Gospel Music January, 1993. They are a “High Energy” group based out of Annapolis, the Capital of Maryland with gospel music for everyone. DiVine of Annapolis is known for their well-rounded style and edgy take on traditional, contemporary and neo- gospel music.
Annette Uroskie has been an Art teacher and practicing artist for forty-five years. A graduate of The Pennsylvania State University (BA Art Education) and The Maryland Institute of Art (M FA) she taught Art for five years in the public school system of Anne Arundel County and twenty-three years at The Key School in Annapolis in the Upper School and as head of the Visual Art Department. Initially a printmaker she won many awards and had one woman and group shows in the Baltimore area.
Leona Upton Illig is a book critic for the Children’s Literature Company. Her short stories have been published in magazines such as The MacGuffin, The North Atlantic Review, and The Western Online, and her non-fiction has been published in Sky and Telescope. From 2012 until 2014 she wrote a monthly environmental article for a local civics organization and served as its publicist. She has a Master’s Degree in English Literature from the University of Maryland and lives between Baltimore and Annapolis with her husband, David, and a small spaniel named Clara.
