ERIC CRENSHAW, STORYTELLER
Eric Crenshaw is a storyteller. His stories range from his own experiences during the turbulent 60's, to the peace and tranquility of tropical islands, and everywhere in between. No matter your perspective, you’ll see yourself in his work.
Eric is excited about having a voice that is all his own while helping others find theirs. “The gift of visual art is both in the giving and the receiving. My vision, while unique, connects with so many others who see what I see and can also take away their own story. It’s truly a blessing.”
I begin my work on a granular level to rebelliously find within myself the rough and the unsocialized facts of my own fears and human nature to embrace, hug, kiss, and bring to the surface of my work by creating a partnership with the piece I am courting.
Children’s Theatre of Annapolis (CTA) is a community-based, 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to nurturing the growth and development of the love of theatre in children age 5 to 18, through participation in all aspects of the theatrical experience, including performance, workshops, technical elements, community involvement, and apprenticeships. CTA provides a positive circle of influence through friendships that foster self-esteem, creativity, commitment, teamwork, appreciation, and dedication. CTA serves the child and the community.
I am a Marine Corps Veteran diagnosed with bipolar disorder. With the help of my wife we are trying to capture the beauty of my wellness journey. Mental illness can be devastating. My experience with it though has fueled part of a creative process involving mindful observation of ruler and compass, the world around me, and sometimes simply enjoying a preoccupying idea to buy time through dark emotional planes.
When Park Place was built in Annapolis, the centerpiece was always envisioned as being a world-class performing arts and conference center that would be a source of pride in the community, promote economic growth, and be the center stage for a wide variety of artistic programs. MC3 has been vigilant in identifying the needs and desires of all of the segments of our community and the surrounding region, including our minority community, our arts and education community, our business community, and more recently our region’s Veteran’s community.
At Cherry Children’s Music Outreach, we believe in the importance of bridging the arts and early childhood education. Cherry Children's Music Outreach (CCMO), was established in the spring of 2005 to address inequity in music education for young children living in disadvantaged communities throughout Maryland and DC. Our mission is to bring free research-based, music education to underserved communities throughout the region.
Susanne Coates is a multimedia specialist who is highly skilled in media production, software development, and biological science (BS in biology, Ph.D. Neuroscience). Dr. Coates is currently the Senior Web Developer for the University of Maryland's, College of Arts and Humanities where she creates software for web-based, multimedia content management systems. Before starting at the University, she worked with numerous clients through her own company to create video, multimedia assets, and software.
Visual artist known for minimalist sculpture and methodical patterns, squares, blue skies, and self portraiture.
