Koch was originally an abstract artist. A pivotal event for him was seeing the work of Edward Hopper. It inspired him early in his career to change to painting in a realist direction. Koch has been given unprecedented access to Hopper’s studio on Cape Cod, enjoying 17 residencies there since 1983, an honor granted to no other living American artist.

Artist. Graduated from Notre Dame University of Baltimore in Fine Art, 2004. I have a disabled son and after years of working to support both him and myself, I have decided to leave a low paying job to pursue my Masters in Fine Art. It is a risk but the benefits of such a move would bring better living possibilities for both my son and myself. I am currently attending community college to get my portfolio in order. During this transition, financial help would be an amazing blessing.

I started drawing when I was 8 years old, from there I had my first art gallery exhibit when I was 9 years old. I have been in a few art galleries since I was 9 years old and till now, I all was loved trying to learn every new thing I could growing up making art.
My artwork is a reflection of my life. I choose to paint the things that inspire me and my hope is that they bring joy to everyone. I grew up in Spain and I feel extremely lucky to have done so. I hope to point out all the beauty around us and remind everyone to focus their attention on them.
My continuous curiosity has made me explore different types of mediums from encaustic (wax) to pastels and everything in between. Most of my recent work is oils and watercolor.
My most recent exhibition was a one-man show at Monument Sotheby's International in July 2020
