I am Baltimore-based mixed media artist as well as a rogue pathologist, art history nerd, world traveler, and aficionado of great literature. These eclectic interests unite into a unique visual voice. My art incorporates hand-cut collage, acrylic paint, altered photographs, clay, beads, and whatever odds and ends find their way into my hellaciously messy studio. What comes out the other end is a dizzying array of boxes, journals, wall pieces, assemblages, cards, and prints. Mixed media gives me an enormous sandbox to play in as each piece evolves.
Founded in 2010, the Atlantic Guitar Quartet is a contemporary music ensemble dedicated to promoting the music of living composers. Through virtuosic performances, innovative programming and collaborations with other visual and performing artists, AGQ has broadened the repertoire for – and the definition of – the classical guitar quartet.

I have lived in the Baltimore area most of my life, while I also spent short periods in Pennsylvania and Michigan. I went to Penn State for graduate school and Towson University for my undergraduate degree. I received a Ford Foundation Grant for the Arts and a teaching assistantship to attend Penn State. While at Towson University I studied with Enrique Montenegro, learning a great deal about color and brushwork. I also studied with Richard Meyhew, learning what he liked to call the "Color grid" during my time at Penn State.
