Born and raised in Baltimore, My passion for Photography started when I was in high school but I took it more seriously in college when I enroll in a digital photography class and it open my eyes to photography even more and haven't looked back since. I purchase my first camera during that time period and later started using my iPod as another camera source to take pictures just because it's easy, convenient, and with the increase of technology I'm able to think/ create outside the box, there's no limitations on being creative.

In a tiny brick house on Baltimore’s North Amity Street in 1833-1835 Edgar Allan Poe wrote some of the early stories that would make him the father of the modern short story, and create and define the modern genres of mystery, horror and science fiction. His spirit and legacy live throughout Baltimore City, inspiring authors, poets, playwrights, businesses – and even our sports teams. Poe Baltimore celebrates this legacy.

Life is art, and art is my lifeline. Growing up in South Carolina, where my great aunt and uncle raised me due to my father’s imprisonment and my mother’s mental illness, was challenging and formative. As a 26-year-old black queer woman engaged to another black queer woman, I navigated my sexuality in a climate of isolation and stigma. Art became my sanctuary, allowing me to process my emotions and dreams through mixed media, including painting, clay, beads, and digital design.
