Marc Castelli
Marc Castelli grew up in a military family enriched by travel and living in many places. While none of them seem connected to his present fascination with water and boats, his parents did pass down to him their love of history and cultures. This interest continues with Marc’s family and their vacations to Maine, Brittany, Iceland, and Italy reflecting the desire to have more than a casual experience with such places.
Lexi Arrietta
The artist grew up among the fields, woods, and waterways of the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Her practice relies on natural materials harvested from the landscape of her childhood. Lexi holds a BA from Sarah Lawrence College, where they studied with Rico Gatson and Dawn Clements, and where they were awarded the Lori Hertzberg Prize for Creativity. They have had their work exhibited at Van Der Plas Gallery in NYC, and were chosen as a Director's Choice Winner for Viridian Artists' 31st Annual International Juried Exhibition.
Maria Wood
Maria grew up on the Eastern Shore and has returned to her roots after venturing into the wider world to, among other things, dance at Jacob's Pillow in Becket, Massachusetts, spend several years as a stage manager, travel the country with a children's band, study ethnomusicology, and write and teach extensively on the musical and cultural meanings of Hamilton. She is currently at work on a documentary film project about sea-level rise on the Eastern Shore.
