I am a painter of landscapes in oil along with portraits and figure studies in graphite.  I typically work from my own photography, and I seek to capture the essence of the image.   I received my BFA in Fine Arts at York University, after having previously attended the studio program for 2 years at the Philadelphia College of Art.  I have subsequently taken painting courses with Dean Fisher, Alyssa Monks, and an on-line, evening class at the New York Academy of Art with Zane York.  My work is in private collections in Denmark, Spain, Iceland, and the US.

I am an artist, designer, and retired professor of art. I paint in acrylics, in a variety of styles and techniques, and usually work in series. I often compose with the computer in Photoshop, and have explored variety further by recycling previous work, combining styles and assembling multiple canvases. The resulting images are metaphors for bridging differences and extending boundaries. I am especially interested in public art projects, and designing for mural-sized digital prints on vinyl for banners.
