Desmond Beach
Desmond Beach is an artist and educator. He earned his MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art's Rinehart School of Sculpture and his BFA from MICA. Desmond is an interdisciplinary artist, the middle son of three boys born in Baltimore, Maryland. He is a project artist, meaning that his work takes its point of departure from specific problems or tragedies. Desmond finds inspiration for his work from growing up in Baltimore during the 80s and 90s and his lived experience as a Black man.
The Magic Duel
Mark Phillips and Ryan Phillips are two snarky magicians, battling to become a self-proclaimed champion in "The Magic Duel Comedy Show." This show is full of seriously funny magic that will fool you. Badly. During the performance, audience members select the styles of magic the contestants must perform. The whole audience casts their votes electronically to determine the winner of the coveted 'Golden Wand.'  Funny, amazing, and interactive from start to finish, The Magic Duel has earned 5-star rankings on Yelp and TripAdvisor every year since 2015.
Gayle Danley
Gayle Danley is one of Maryland's most beloved teaching artists. Recently she launched Poetry Pros, an agency devoted to poets who are experts at weaving art into learning. She has worked as an independent MSAC teaching artist and was a roster artist for Young Audiences of Maryland where she was named both Maryland Artist of the Year and Young Audiences National Artist of the Year. After winning the International Poetry Slam in Heidelberg Germany, poet Gayle entered the classroom teaching thousands of children how to access their emotions through the force of words. 
Elizabeth Rees
Elizabeth Rees is the author of Every Root a Branch and three award-winning chapbooks.  A fourth chapbook was published by March Street Press in 2002.  Over 350 of her poems have appeared in journals, including The Southern Review, Agni, Partisan Review, New England Review, and Kenyon Review, among many others.  She has taught widely:  Howard University, the U.S. Naval Academy, Harvard University, Boston College, Boston University, Macalester College, Hamline University, and in the graduate program at Johns Hopkins University. 
Khaleshia Thorpe-Price
Khaleshia Thorpe-Price is the Owner and Master Teaching Artist of Dramatic-Play. She has worked in the field of arts education for over 20 years. She is a versatile creator and educator. She aims to dazzle participants with the love of play and creative exploration. 
Noa Baum
Israeli-born Noa Baum is an internationally acclaimed storyteller and author. With mesmerizing voices, impeccable timing, and warm authenticity Noa captivates audiences of all ages, with stories drawn from diverse cultures that highlight our similarities, celebrate our differences and encourage curiosity, and acceptance. In a world where peace is a challenge in the schoolyard and beyond, Noa’s work builds bridges of understanding and compassion.
Carolina Hernandez (GET Dance)
Carolina Hernández is a dancer from Colombia, with fifteen years of experience in dance. She has performed in Turkey, Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil and Ecuador. Also, she has danced in different festivals around the USA. She has experience in Middle Eastern dance, Bollywood, Turkish, Colombian folklore, and Latin dances.
The Kentlands Community Foundation, Inc.
THE KENTLANDS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION is a not-for-profit educational and cultural organization established in 1993 and dedicated to enriching civic life. Our mission is threefold: 1) To build community by supporting local arts and cultural programs; 2) To provide opportunities for volunteerism and community outreach; and 3) To serve as an educational resource on the landmark new urbanist community that is Kentlands.
Matthew J Russo
Matthew Russo was born in 1996 in Worcester, MA. In 2018 he earned his BFA in Painting from Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts. As part of his education, he studied abroad in Prato, Italy where he studied traditional forms of painting and printmaking. In 2020 he graduated with his MFA degree from American University in Washington, D.C. He currently lives and works in Washington, D.C. as a Studio Technician, Educator, and Artist.
