Story Tapestries: Arianna Ross and The Ensemble executes performances and residencies that use the arts as a means to bridge barriers and help individuals foster a deeper connection to what they are learning and teaching. Story Tapestries creates international, dynamic programs that weave the power of dance, music, theatre, hip hop, rap, written word, visual art, and spoken word with any school subject. The artists are known for their ability to teach and perform for all ages with equal success because they custom design the programs to fit the needs of students and the subject.

ClancyWorks shifts perceptions through dance! ClancyWorks presents original modern dance works created through an exploration of architecturally informed partnering techniques. The Washington Post has described Dr. Adrienne Clancy, Founder, as “a wizard of invention” and her choreography as “a tour de force of unpredictable partnering.” Over the past 20 years of choreographing, Clancy has earned numerous awards and honors for her work and has had her dances presented internationally in Japan, Poland, Paraguay, Mexico, Israel, and England.
Imagination Stage envisions a future where theatre experiences are a fundamental aspect of children’s lives, nourishing their creative spirit, inspiring them to embrace the complexity and diversity of their world, and helping them overcome their challenges with hope, courage and, above all, creativity.
Founded in 1986, CREATE Arts Center is a nonprofit arts organization whose mission is to spark creativity, foster learning, empower individuals, and facilitate community connections through the visual arts. Located in downtown Silver Spring, CREATE offers a wide variety of visual arts programming (both onsite and online) for adults and children. Programs include art therapy (both group and individual), art classes and workshops, and art camps for children.
The most prolific multidisciplinary arts presenter in the state of Maryland, Strathmore Hall Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit arts organization in Montgomery County that presents and produces music performances, art exhibitions, and education programs on our campus, in the community, and online. Strathmore was founded in 1981 to provide arts opportunities for the people of Montgomery County and to maintain the then newly-acquired property in North Bethesda on behalf of the County as a home for the arts.
The mission of Docs In Progress is to give individuals the tools to tell stories through documentary film to educate, inspire, and transform the way people view their world. Documentary films engage us in history, folklore, culture, and ideas while deepening the public’s experience, understanding, and appreciation for documentary as a form of expression, historical documentation, and visual literature.
While the arts have faced cutbacks in many schools, Artivate ensures that creativity has a place to grow and flourish. Since 1995, through alliances with artists, arts organizations, museums, community-based groups, and service agencies, it has brought culturally diverse programs – in theater, dance, drawing, and singing – directly to DC-area schools and communities, including public libraries, schools, botanical gardens, museums, and theaters.
Glen Echo Park typically attracts approximately 350,000 visitors annually from Maryland and throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The Glen Echo Park Partnership collaborates with over 50 resident and nonresident partners and more than 100 individual instructors to sponsor art classes, exhibitions, social dances, concerts, festivals, and special events. We also preserve and maintain the Park's historic facilities, including the Spanish Ballroom and the Dentzel carousel.
Judy's professional background includes an MA and an MFA in 3D design/sculpture. Over 35 years in public art installations and construction management have provided skills critical to any significant public art project. Her public artworks are on college campuses, city parks, county parks, community centers, and private developments. Judy has worked with developers, city officials, county officials, federal agencies, and departments in the USA.
National Players is America’s longest-running touring theatre company and the signature outreach program of
Olney Theatre Center, a Helen Hayes Award-winner and one of two state-designated theatres in Maryland. This distinctive ensemble stimulates imagination and critical thinking by producing classic plays and literary adaptations in invigorating ways for audiences of all ages. National Players serves all corners of Maryland and the country, and the ensemble performs for a diversity of audiences from students to the general public, the elderly, and the incarcerated.
