The Origins of SinkArtist TM: Art is everywhere. I have spent a few years painting on canvas, with either oil paints or acrylic. I noticed that I could blend with acrylic the best and that when water is added, the outcome can be stunning. With canvas, however, it's really difficult to prevent absorption of the paint. It dries so quicky! I began to explore working on other types of media. SinkArtist was born somewhat accidentally. But the idea is simple - we spend so much of our time face down.

You can see the influence of Picasso, Braque, Dali, and Kahlo in her paintings. In addition, she has recently expanded into Abstract works. These abstract paintings are a mix of textures which include oil paint, oilstik, acrylic, paper, fabric, and found objects, woven together with the techniques of the cubism genre.
