Storytelling is the intersection of my work as a performance artist, author, and educator. Storytelling is both a performance art and a tool to connect, communicate and collaborate.
In a world where peace is a challenge in the schoolyard and beyond, my performances and interactive workshops focus on the power of stories to heal across differences and build bridges of understanding and compassion.
I love connecting with all ages - adults, teens or children. I offer performances, author talks, keynotes, workshops, and residencies. I enjoy sharing personal narratives and stories from many diverse cultures as well as my own Jewish heritage.

When I introduce myself as a storyteller, people often ask: "Storytelling? So you read stories to children?" Well, I have published two books, one for children and one for adults and teens, I do offer author visits to communities and schools BUT ... NO! Storytelling is not just reading to children. Storytelling is an ancient art form with powerful applications in education, healing, advocacy, and social change for communities and organizations. Long before the written words – people told stories. Stories were part of the life fabric of the whole community, as essential as food and shelter and not just for children. Our brains are wired for stories. It is how humans passed on history and values, wisdom of the mind and wisdom of the heart for thousands of years. Storytelling is at the heart of the human experience. Stories are the most powerful tool for communication since they enter our hearts by engaging our imagination. Storytelling is important to leadership communications because through stories we connect with others, pass on our identity and our values, inspire, motivate, and persuade. In my work I offer Storytelling as a performance art as well as a powerful tool for connection, communication and collaboration in interactive workshops and seminars. I look forward to connecting with you to share my passion! ALL of my programs - performances, workshops, author talks and residencies - are offered live in person or live online. Noa's TEDx talk: Beyond Labels - Bridging Differences through Storytelling
When Israeli-born Noa Baum moved to the U.S. and unexpectedly formed a friendship with a Palestinian woman, she realized the importance of listening to the story of the "other" - even if that other is the enemy. She discovered that storytelling transforms perceptions, and from that epiphany Noa shares how she uses storytelling to connect across conflict in our communities and work places. Can storytelling change our response to differences? -
