We're always ready and excited to bring our creative spin on the art of percussion to audiences of all kinds
About the Artist
For more than 19 years, Quey [“Kway”] Percussion Duo has dazzled audiences worldwide with their unmistakable style that blends traditions of Western, cross-cultural, contemporary, classical, and popular music to create colorful sound worlds that often place focus on interlocking counterpoint and musical multi-tasking. QPD has a knack for elevating the basic acts of striking, shaking, and scraping into a blast of energy mixed with a splash of curiosity. Having performed on 5 continents and extensively throughout the US, QPD has worked with music festivals, art galleries, chamber music series’, conferences, professional orchestras, film makers, and has engaged in more than 100 university residencies worldwide. Their unique performing style has generated nearly 200 new works written for the group, many of which become instant "earworms" for audiences. Their focus on creating high-level social media video content has led to nearly 2 million views of their performances. QPD has recorded for the Innova, Naxos, Centaur, and Equilibrium record labels and is endorsed by Pearl/Adams Instruments, Sabian Cymbals, Innovative Percussion, Remo Drumheads, and Schoenhut Toy Pianos.Quey Percussion Duo website Quey Percussion Duo Quey Percussion Duo website Gene Koshinski (QPD Member) Quey Percussion Duo website Tim Broscious (QPD Member)
