Joel Turner is an artist from Towson, Maryland working as a figure painter. Joel received his Associates in Fine Arts in 2013 from Delaware College of Art and Design, and received his Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2015.
I am currently in the process of rebuilding my career after taking a hiatus from 2000 to 2015 to focus on other pursuits. Before this hiatus, I was an active member of the arts community in the Maryland region, having received an MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 1987. During the 90s, I was fortunate enough to receive two Maryland State Art grants as well as several Baltimore City arts grants, and my work was exhibited at several selected regional venues during this time. I was born and raised in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York and relocated to this region in 1985.
Nancy Sausser is an artist, curator, and writer living and working in the Washington D.C. area. She holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Sculpture from the University of Washington, in Seattle, and a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Kenyon College. Her sculpture, executed primarily in low-fire ceramic, has been exhibited most recently at International Art and Artists at Hillyer, Brentwood Arts Exchange, Greater Reston Arts Center, and in Ankara, Turkey through the Department of State's Art in Embassies Program.
