Bobby Blazek is a multi-media artist working and currently residing in his hometown of Baltimore, Maryland. His work focuses on macabre storytelling through paintings, comics, and illustrations. Blazek combines biological, technological, and religious imagery while emphasizing color contrast, movement, repetition, and texture in order to convey narratives pertaining to marginalized bodies in the current state of the world. Currently he is at MICA majoring in General Fine Arts, minoring in Illustration and Sequential Art.
Lillian Chun (b. Allentown, PA 1989) is a mixed media artist, photographer and art educator. She earned her BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2011 and MAT in 2012. Chun currently lives and works in Ellicott City, MD. Her work has been featured in galleries in Maryland, Arizona, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, and online international exhibitions. Paradoxical narratives surrounding time, womanhood and motherhood, are often themes within her work.
From as early as I can remember, I was always making marks. Drawing was the one thing I could do ALL day long. I was born in Baltimore, MD as 1 of 3 children to Nigerian parents. I studied animation and art history in college and, later, taught art between the years 2005 and 2014, starting and ending in Baltimore. I am, currently, a museum professional.

Artist Bio for Lea Craigie-Marshall Born in Falls Church, Va in 1976, self-taught, contemporary artist Lea showed talent from an early age. An natural creative spirit, she spent time taking private art lessons with her mother at home as well as in the mountains of scenic West Virginia with her grandmother, both artists. These strong female influences helped mold and inspire Lea to be the dynamic, multifaceted, feminist artist she is today.
Julie Kraft Art was formally organized in 2012, when I started to sell prints of hobby projects I had done on my own. I experimented with methods and mediums and refined my craft. In 2019, I expanded to offer custom commissions, with clients selecting the scope, medium, and other attributes of my artwork — creating a one-of-a-kind piece for themselves or as a gift.
Jason Patterson’s work focuses on African American history and highlights the role the past has in cultivating our current political and social conditions in the United States. Patterson’s practice is heavily research-based, with the majority of his studio time dedicated to that research to ensure that the historical and social narratives presented are well represented. Patterson makes his physical work through soft pastel portraiture, woodworking and the recreation, or reimagining of historical documents.
Courtney Applequist is an interdisciplinary artist working in the greater Washington DC area. Pulling from her education & experience in architectural design, her work explores the intersection between art, architecture & the human psyche. She holds a BFA from Baylor University and has exhibited at various juried shows throughout the area, as well as being a included in private collections throughout the US.
I was born in Houston, Texas to an American father and Welsh mother. I became disabled when I was eleven and withdrew into comic books for comfort. I received a BA in visual art from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2013. Drawing inspiration from Botticelli, Caravaggio, and Hans Bellmer, I work primarily in oil painting. I have now expanded my work into comics and illustration, and my work has been published in comics anthologies. All my work has a unifying concern with the representation of women in art and media.
I am an artist living with my family in Harford County. I received a BA in fine arts from Towson University in 1998 and have my Master's in Elementary Education. Currently I am working on my portraiture technique and creating a series of paintings retelling classic fairytales.
