Hello! I am an abstract painter located in Frederick, Maryland. Currently, I am a member of the NOMA gallery in downtown Frederick, and have recently completed a BA in studio art with a minor in art history at Messiah University.
I first picked up a paintbrush in 1979, while an undergraduate at the University of Maryland at College Park. For a majority of my professional career, I was employed in the business side of the world of art. I have thus been forced to privately pursue my love of painting in my very infrequent spare time. I have been a resident of Laurel since 1991 and guests in my home often remark that I should attempt to show my work in a forum such as the one I am requesting. Almost all those who see my work are surprised to learn that I work in acrylics.
Sawtistic is a Baltimore County–based multidisciplinary artist working in wood sculpture, color, and narrative art. Known for hand-carved characters and interactive community installations, his work bridges fine art, storytelling, and public engagement—inviting viewers of all ages into imaginative, participatory worlds.
