Born in Evansville, Indiana, Kelly Walker found her way to Baltimore, MD by the age of 18 where she has lived ever since. A self-taught artist, Walker will tell you she studied at “The School of Real Life”. She absorbs the beauty, chaos, and sometimes disturbing reality of Baltimore City and channels it into her work. In addition to her fine art career, Walker also runs a decorative painting company, Artstar Custom Paintworks, which is responsible for many of the exquisite custom faux finishes and murals found throughout the city’s establishments.

Ever since I can remember I have been a dreamer, a creator, and someone who is fiercely devoted to self expression and kindness. It is with this ideology that I move in the world and have devoted my life to the exploration of art and the creation of hundreds of public art installations within communities all over the world. From Africa to Israel, to small towns along the East Coast and over 100 public art projects in Baltimore and the DMV alone, I have been able to utilize my talents and expertise to spread the power of art.
