From as early as I can remember, I was always making marks. Drawing was the one thing I could do ALL day long. I was born in Baltimore, MD as 1 of 3 children to Nigerian parents. I studied animation and art history in college and, later, taught art between the years 2005 and 2014, starting and ending in Baltimore. I am, currently, a museum professional.

Emily seeks to ignite conversation around perspective through her painting, photography, and writing. Emily works in a studio in the Woodberry neighborhood in Baltimore City, where she creates bold bright paintings of flowers and horizons, photographs the creative process and the natural world, and writes about gratitude, light, and wonder. Emily’s work has been shown locally in recent years at Fleckenstein Gallery, Bozzuto Greene Art, Towson Arts Collective, and The Center Club, and is held in numerous private collections in the Baltimore area.
Artist Bio for Lea Craigie-Marshall Born in Falls Church, Va in 1976, self-taught, contemporary artist Lea showed talent from an early age. An natural creative spirit, she spent time taking private art lessons with her mother at home as well as in the mountains of scenic West Virginia with her grandmother, both artists. These strong female influences helped mold and inspire Lea to be the dynamic, multifaceted, feminist artist she is today.
Julie Kraft Art was formally organized in 2012, when I started to sell prints of hobby projects I had done on my own. I experimented with methods and mediums and refined my craft. In 2019, I expanded to offer custom commissions, with clients selecting the scope, medium, and other attributes of my artwork — creating a one-of-a-kind piece for themselves or as a gift.
Patricia (Patsy) Card is a long term resident of Anne Arundel County since 1974. Her graphic art career spans 28 years supporting government contractors in the District of Columbia and Northern Virginia areas. She holds a AA degree from Northern Virginia Community College in graphic arts. Patricia continued her fine art classes at UMUC and at AACC where she has taken classes in oil painting, intaglio, lithography, and silk screening. Her oil and watercolor paintings are done with an expressionistic approach with the use of light and shadow to bring the image into focus.
Jason Patterson’s artwork is centered in Black history, with a special focus on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. He represents those histories through portraiture and the physical re-creation of historic texts. In addition, Patterson designs and builds wood frames to hold his portraits and documents, designed in various styles, to help convey the subject matter’s concept and time period.
Courtney Applequist is an interdisciplinary artist working in the greater Washington DC area. Pulling from her education & experience in architectural design, her work explores the intersection between art, architecture & the human psyche. She holds a BFA from Baylor University and has exhibited at various juried shows throughout the area, as well as being a included in private collections throughout the US.
