I am a visual artist who works primarily in historic photographic processes including cyanotype and salted paper. My work is largely printed on fabric and then deconstructed to be reassembled into new compositions. My work focuses on memory and grief and how perspectives relating to them shift and change over time.
Liz is an emerging photographer with a lifelong passion for adventure and wildlife. She has long worked to connect people to the outdoors and conservation through years as a public interest activist and as an outdoor leader, teacher, and guide with the Sierra Club and REI. Her work as a photographer is a continuation of those efforts. Through the global pandemic, Liz's "bird-a-day" project has become a source of joy for many suffering through such a difficult year; giving people a connection to and education about birds.
Caren Kares is a singer and songwriter who makes music that has a strong emotional touch. She focuses on creating beautiful songs that talk about her feelings, and create an honest portrait of her as a person, and artist. Her most recent single is a track titled “Memories (Of what you said to me),” which feels like a truly astonishing combination of jazz and other influences.
